Meet Ashley
Ashley Joy Hoffman is an Olympic athlete, yoga teacher, and lifelong student of what it takes to perform at the highest level.
She played field hockey at the University of North Carolina, where she was a three-time All-American, a Honda Award winner, UNC Female Athlete of the Year, ACC Female Athlete of the Year, and an undefeated National Champion. After college, she competed professionally in the Netherlands, Argentina, Australia, and India, while representing her country with Team USA.
That journey gave her a firsthand education in the intensity, the highs and lows, and the physical and emotional demands of elite sport — and taught her that true high performance isn't about training harder. It's about training smarter, caring for the body and mind together, and building resilience through capacity, not just grit.

About The Asana Athlete LLC.
For most of my career, I measured my worth in output — how hard I trained, how much I could withstand, how little I let myself feel along the way. I was good at pushing. I wasn't good at pausing, and I definitely wasn't good at asking my body what it actually needed before it forced me to find out.
Yoga, breathwork, and somatics didn't come into my life as a wellness trend. They came in because I needed them to survive the sport I loved. Slowly, they became the thing that let me stay in it — not by making me softer, but by making me more whole. I learned that the same nervous system that carries you through a gold-medal moment is the one that has to carry you home afterward, and that no one had ever taught me how to do both.
The Asana Athlete exists for every athlete who has felt that gap — between how hard you're trained to perform, and how little you're taught about what it costs. My mission is to close that gap. Not by asking athletes to slow down and step away from ambition, but by teaching them that the body and breath are part of the training too — and that the athletes who learn to listen are the ones who last.
Core Values
The Asana Athlete is rooted in three core values: awareness, acceptance, and accountability.
Awareness of self is the foundation for true growth and authentic leadership.
Acceptance reminds us that we're human — beautifully imperfect, and always evolving.
Accountability calls us to take ownership of our choices, our growth, and the impact we have on the world.
